I am delighted to announce that I am taking up a new role as Economics Editor at openDemocracy. In these tumultuous times a media landscape dominated by poisonous hysteria and special interests is immensely dangerous. openDemocracy is a rare independent platform which exists to challenge power, encourage intelligent debate and promote the values of human rights, democracy and economic justice.
I’ll be leading the economics coverage at Open Democracy UK. Whether it’s the housing crisis, climate change, automation, inequality, precarious work or squeezed public services, it’s clear that meeting the challenges of the 21st century requires a new approach to our economy. I’ll be bringing voices together to discuss what this should be, and how to make it happen.
